Sreejita De and Michael had a court marriage on 30 June and on July 1st they had a White (German traditional) wedding at a church in Germany. Talking about the idea behind name the change, Sreejita said, “Being a celebrity, changing name was really big thing for me and before marriage we had lot of discussion. I thought about what name it should be after wedding? And finally I have decided that I will keep my old name and along with that I will add my husband’s surname as well. Because I am married to him now, I decided that it should be Sreejita De Blohm-Pape and I became Sreejita De Blohm-Pape from Sreejita De on 30th June on our legal wedding day. And now as it’s official and we are legally married so of course it’s time for the world also to know my new name. That’s why I also changed my name on Instagram because that’s where my fans and friends everybody come and check my profile so everybody will get to know about it.”

This name change thing came as a sweet surprise for Sreejita’s husband Michael. “Michael was not aware of it. In fact when I signed our legal wedding paper as Sreejita De Blohm-Pape he was not just surprised but got emotional too with my gesture of love for him,” Sreejita said while sharing about Michael’s reaction on name change.

Recently, Sreejita and Michael had celebrated Sreejita’s first birthday after wedding and soon they are going to throw a small party for friends and family in Mumbai who couldn’t attend their wedding in Germany.
